What your husband is in prison?

For people who didn't know around the time of my husband's arrest. When they find out that my husband is in prison (usually co-workers, who haven't worked there long will see me writing on my break or here me talking about going to see my husband)....That one answer, my husband is in prison brings out a whole slew of comments, or complete avoidance...I honestly don't mind the avoidance, but I am very happy to say that most people that I have come into contact with are cool with it. Like I always say it is what it is.

I do think the funniest thing is when people are like you don't seem like a prison wife....I'm not exactly sure what a prison wife is suppose to be like. I'm fairly civil lol I'm blunt and brutally honest but I try to be nice and kind to everyone. I don't want any more bad karma in my life. I don't have a real record, some traffic offenses. And for some reason people want to know about tattoos...I only have two a dolphin on my calf and his name on the back of my neck. I do want to get my kids name on my wrist, but honestly that will probably never happen b/c I can't make myself spend that much money.

Another favorite...Oh so I guess we are paying all your bills...Um excuse me but no. I work, and pay taxes out of my paycheck...and I make to much to get anything more than the bare minimum of food stamps and I do get rental assistance, but that is it and I am grateful for it. My mom watches my kids while I am at work, so I don't have to pay for daycare another thing I'm eternally grateful for. So no just b/c my husband is in prison doesn't mean you are paying for my bills...though if you want to I will not complain ;)

Or..so I guess you and your husband have an arrangement? Arrangement, no I am faithful to him 100%. So yes the arrangement is for me to be celibate till he comes home.

I usually have to ask them...so if you husband/wife, makes a mistake or is in the wrong place at the wrong time, or pisses off the wrong person and ends up in prison..What then do you vows mean nothing to you? I don't know about them but my vows say for better or worse.

My thoughts exactly! :) Faithful 100%. I'm amazed at how many people don't take their vows seriously. And they think I'm "missing out" by remaining celibate. Ha! No thank you! I'm also amazed at how many people think that "bad choices" = "bad person" I WISH someone would pay my bills! Lol. It is what it is, and God has plans for us :)
