Okay so I feel the need to do a Jody update and brag a bit on him. For once his high blood pressure is under control, without medicine. Probably b/c he doesn't get fast food and isn't allowed to smoke and works out alot.
But that's not what I'm going to brag about :). I looked up his grades for last semester, he got both A's. He starts his second semester on the the 11th, he gets to take 4 classes this time, he is excited about it and would like to have a a college degree by the time he gets out..that is if state funding holds out. He started his new job on Saturday, he works 3am-5pm very long shift, but he will be making around 90$ a month, and its a kitchen job. He was able to move out of his old pod, into a new one, so him and Chris aren't cellies anymore, but I think they'll still be able to talk. He likes his new pod alot better and I can tell a huge difference in the noise level when he calls. Most the guys in this pod work a similar type shift, so the pod is empty (pretty much) during the day and at night he said by 10 everyone is asleep.
It is hard thinking we still have so long to go 54 months but it is going by and every day is one more closer to him being home.
