The prison systems just love to make an extra buck by gouging the price of collect phone calls for families and friends of inmates. During our sentence I have paid everything from 99 cents a call to over 11 dollars for 15 minutes. Currently the calls are 9 dollars for 20 minutes. It is just another way for the system to exploit inmates, and their families and further alienate the inmates. Finally after many years there are some reports popping up that the FCC is looking into them.
